Guys, 2012 is allmost over. I hope it was a good year for all of you. For me every year is a good year, as any day is. Even the ones I hate and I swear on.
May the coming year keep all the promises.
I am no poet and there is only one short part of a poem I can repeat in free speach. But those words are so very pure and true that I want to share them with you. Maybe we can remember their spirit in 2013 from time to time together.
A fig for those by law protected,
liberty is a glorious feest,
courts for cowards where erected,
churches build to please the priest.
What is title what ist treasure,
what does reputation care?
If we lead a life of pleasure,
it does not matter how or where.
(from: A Beggars Banquet by Robert Burns)
Best wishes for you and your families.
Hope to see you on the road soon again.

After I released the post bout the nice detail I remembered that I have a postcard/flyer from the builder of this somewhere. It's a little messed and the pic is made with my cell, but it shows what it needs.
A young guy from Switzerland, and very talented. I guess we will se more from him in the future.

As seen at the Custombike Show.
If you build a bike you have to make decisions, like: what look should it have?
What colour, what kind of paint?
Some guys make the right decision, like this one:
Or this one:
But some are going completly the wrong way:
Okay guys, I did delete some pics and my comments . I have to explain this. After I released this post I got some feedback. People telling me that I should not judge the taste of another person. Or that I maybe hurt the owner with my opinion showing this on the blog. But I want to say that I do not want to insult or mob this person. Fact is, if you show your bike in a public custombike show/contest you actually want other people to see it and give their judgement. And you have to be aware that not all reaction will be positive. I had to taste this medicine myselfs from time to time.
However- this blog is not my private platform and I dont want to use it for personal statements
on things that are not really important. The chinese say: if you cant say anything nice, dont say anything at all.
Thats why I apologize if I gave someone a bad feeling.
Dont take this too serious. Or as my wise friend Sik says: its all about nothing.

A few pics from the Custombike Show in Bad Salzuflen. That was huge, by the way.
There will be a lot of photos floating the web. I want to share just a few of what got my attention.
To start with: Herzbube Motorcycle Art from Berlin
Bernhard Elflein is an artist for sure. And he is invited for the Choppertown Sideshow 2013 now.
I hope he can make it.
