Last weekend
Last weekend I did spend 2 days at the US Car and Bike Show in Grefrath, displaying the
Ken Nagahara photos. Had the bike at the booth, but not in the show. Actually there have been no bikes in the show at all. Some visitor bikes outside, but nothing spectacular. It was mostly about stock classic US cars.
Hottest weekend in Germany for this year, so far. About 40grees celsius the shade.
Met the Kowboyz, that was nice. They are the guys from our new supporter Dock 66.
This young man had the hottest ride on 2 wheels in the show. Honestly!

Thanks VANS
Normally I have to bug our supporters pretty much to get some swag for our event. Remarkable is that the smaller, poorer business gives easier and often even more than the big dogs. You would be surprised how big names in our small custom world react when we ask for a dollar or some merch. Most of them are takers, not givers. But however- this year we have VANS on our poster and they donated some swag as we did show on the blog.
Big surprise: this Wednesday 2 more boxes from Vans arrived! We didnt know about this but we appreciate.
Thanks VANS!

Parking for Motorcycles
We have incoming requests about the overnight parking of bikes at the Sideshow.
We maybe can provide a guarded parking on Saturday night. But this cant be for free and we need at least 10 bikes to make this happen. So more, so better. If we have the registrations for this before Saturday 1. 3pm we can order guards who will take care until Sunday 9am. Costs about 5.-Euro p. bike.
Please register in on our facebook site or leave a comment here, now. We will confirm or cancel as soon as possible.
The local taxi cab companys will be informed and they will send shuttle cabs for the ride to the Blue Laggon and other places.

New event coming in Germany
The guys who organize the US Car and Bike Show in Grefrath are working on a new event. It will take place in Lohne, pretty much in the western middle of Germany, about 100km from the Dutch border.
It is open what kind of events will happen at this location in the future, but there will be a few. Many possibilities from cars to bikes, 1/4 mls race to ....whatever. This is the first one. No charges for vendors and visitors. Go there, meet the promoters and tell them your ideas or just enjoy an nice day with US iron.
And if you have a business and want to become a vendor, please register here:
Or come to Grefrath on the 18. to find out more.

Seenstädter Bier
For the second time we lost the link button for our friends and supporters of the Nettetaler Bier Kontor.
We suck. Sorry guys. Sik is on vacation and I cant fix it. All I can do ist to show the unfinished label of this years edition of our beer. Good Mojo.
Seenstädter n' Blondes Bier is a lokal brand in Nettetal. Most of you cant enjoy it regularly. Too bad. The creators , Andre and Pepi put a lot of love into this project and they are a big support for us. So have a few bottles of this refreshing beer. But please- dont drink and drive
Thrift Sale
The Choppertown Sideshow Thrift Sale is a booth at the meeting where we offer the merchandise plus some extra offers. Some of our supporters donated valuable goods to us. After that last years Raffle pretty much flopped, we decided to use this swag in a more fair way now. We are selling this for very special prices. This gives everybody the chance to score goods about 60-70% under retail price. And all the money goes into the fund. So it helps to keep the Choppertownnation Meeting alive.
Please remember- we are non profit, from the people for the people. We dont charge for entrance or anything else. We keep it free for vistors and vendors. Thank you for your support.
Drinking Club with a bicycle problem
We mentioned it before: there will be a new section at the Choppertown Sideshow. Customized Magazin presents: Custom Bicyles. We are very proud that the Chopaderos will join in to show what the got.

First anniversary
Today it is one year ago that Rico's HiBond Modified homepage and blog have been launched in the web.
Well, Rico is not a person that really likes this digital reality, as you maybe know. And hitting the hard line as allways, there was not more than one blog post since than. I guess you all have seen it, but anyway - the photos are very nice and thats why I show my personal favourites here. I forgot who made these photos, Josh Kurpius maybe?
However, the fact that this is the only post and even this one is in french language because someone else launched it for him, is telling a lot about Rico and I love him for that.

class of 2011
After last years meeting I created a photobook with my favourite pics. I stole them everywhere. The first copy was for Rico as a memory gift. He really appreciated and I ordered 4 more copys for people who have been involved. During the year I showed my own copy to many people and got a very positiv feedback.
If you want to see it, you can have a peek at the Sideshow. Ask for it. I would love that all the people shown on the 28 pages write a personal comment into this.
Maybe we make a new one and this time we are going to publish it, if it comes out as nice as the 2011 one.
